Multiple Paraeducators needed near Oakland, CA for Extended school year and next school year

Location: Oakland, CA area
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $22–$26 per hour (based on experience and skill set)
Start Dates: Extended School Year (ESY) & 2025–2026 School Year

We are currently hiring full-time Paraprofessionals to support students across multiple school sites in the Oakland, CA area. These roles support students with varying disabilities across all age groups, from early childhood through young adult programs.

Paraprofessionals play a key role in helping students access education and achieve their IEP goals by providing both instructional and physical support under the direction of a certificated teacher.

Paraeducator Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional content and promote academic progress

• Support students in meeting their IEP goals, including academic, behavioral, and social-emotional objectives

• Assist with daily routines, including toileting, feeding, dressing, and hygiene as needed

• Follow behavior support plans and implement classwide and individual strategies as trained

• Support students in classrooms, on playgrounds, in the lunchroom, and during field trips

• Assist with lifting, positioning, and transporting students who use wheelchairs or other medical equipment

• Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

• Collect student data and track progress toward goals

• Participate in professional development and staff meetings

• Maintain clear, respectful communication with staff, students, and families

• Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality protocols at all times

Paraeducator Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have minimum of 1 year prior experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred

• Comfortable supporting students of all ages with physical and behavioral needs

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs with assistance and support students with mobility needs
