The Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Program leads clinical, research, and academic activities at a major Academic Medical Center, overseeing advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology, and cardiac care programs. The role involves administrative leadership, strategic program development, and active participation in patient care, teaching, and clinical research. The position also includes collaboration with partner transplant centers and mentoring cardiovascular fellows and students within an academic setting.
A well-respected Academic Medical Center in New Hampshire has an opening for a Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Program. This is an e xciting opportunity to join an academic practice with approximately 40 full-time cardiologists, as well as clinical and research fellows! The candidate should have clinical proficiency and Board Certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and a record of scholarly achievement and be eligible for or have achieved the rank of associate professor or higher.
About the opportunity:
- Have administrative oversight and engage in its strategic development and growth; Should have leadership skills and experience
- Work primarily on the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Service at the Medical Center and will also have the option to attend 2-4 weeks per year at Tufts Medical Center, our partner transplant center
- Essential role in the Cardiogenic Shock team, Pulmonary Hypertension Program, and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) program
- Additional responsibilities include an active role in the cardiac intensive care unit and inpatient services, outpatient medicine, teaching, and clinical research
- Position holds an academic title at the School of Medicine commensurate with experience and academic portfolio; expected to engage in academic activities, including research and mentoring of learners, such as cardiovascular fellows, house staff, and students from the School of Medicine
