Construction Superintendent

TRC is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent for our client in the Jacksonville, FL area. This role is responsible for leading all on-site construction activities from project start through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site leadership and direction to project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all field operations including scheduling, engineering support, material delivery, and site logistics.
Authorize and approve project-related transactions such as personnel actions, purchase requisitions, and field change requests.
Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, budget, and project schedule.
Interpret construction documents and provide technical guidance regarding means, methods, sequencing, and equipment.
Enforce company and site-specific safety policies, conduct job safety meetings, and ensure subcontractor compliance.
Supervise salaried field staff, craft labor, and contracted personnel as required by the project.
Interface with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress.
Assist in developing and implementing project procedures, standards, and working documents.
Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with established company and project procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to resolve conflicts and maintain strong working relationships.
Represent and reinforce company values, expectations, and standards on the jobsite.
Travel within the assigned region as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4–5 years of superintendent or comparable field leadership experience in commercial construction.
Experience aligned with the type of projects or market served (e.g., commercial, healthcare, wood frame, etc.).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
