Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in West Virginia. As a Psychiatric RN, you will work with adult patients who are experiencing various mental health disorders, delivering compassionate care and support while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and monitor patients' responses.
- Implement treatment plans and document patient progress.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure adherence to seclusion protocols and physical hold protocols as necessary.
- Engage in therapeutic communication and support for patients with various psychiatric disorders.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a preference for charge experience.
- Current RN License in West Virginia or a compact state (pending licenses are acceptable).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid (CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation).
- Experience with psychiatric patient care and knowledge of mental health disorders.
