What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons within the healthcare location.
- Assist with emergency response activities, including guiding individuals to appropriate areas and supporting Allied Universal and client staff as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with clients, staff, patients, and visitors to provide assistance and relay important information.
- Follow all Allied Universal and client policies and procedures specific to the healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton skills are preferred.
- CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
