Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; promptly report changes
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
