Senior Data Engineer-Hybrid 3 days onsite
Location: Plano, Texas (near Highway 121 & Dallas North Tollway)
A fast-growing and highly successful consumer financial services company based in Plano, TX, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding Corporate Reporting & Analytics team. We're seeking a driven individual with a passion for data engineering, analytics, and problem-solving.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Passionate about designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows.
- Motivated to continuously learn new tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with SQL (preferably MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Python and data modeling/data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Superset, matplotlib, or Plotly.
- Foundational knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining concepts.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Bonus: Experience with Salesforce or marketing data (preferred but not required).

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code to solve complex business problems.
- Ensure data is well-structured, accurate, and ready for visualization and analysis.
- Gather and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and effectively.
- Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and data tools that drive decision-making.
- Promote best practices in data governance, quality, and performance.
- Provide thorough and up-to-date documentation for data processes and systems.
