Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU, 4:1 when floating to telemetry units
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience and EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience
• 2 years ICU experience required in large hospital (450+ beds)
• 3-6 months travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Must float between all ICU floors and telemetry units
• 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
• Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience
• Work with patients requiring critical care with neurological diagnoses
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitors
• Must have natural hair color with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Wear steel grey scrubs for neuro floors
• May be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The facility operates a 32-bed Neuro ICU and specializes in complex neurological procedures including cranial surgeries, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries, and scoliosis repair. The hospital maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, supporting comprehensive critical care for neurological patients.
