This role is for a locum tenens Hematology/Oncology physician providing outpatient care in a trauma level 4 facility in New Mexico. The physician will manage chemotherapy education, patient consults, and admissions during weekday shifts, with call duties shared among staff. Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS, with board certification and fellowship preferred.
Coverage Needed January 1, 2024 - ongoing Schedule 8a-5p M-F 2-3 weeks/month Clinical Details Outpatient 17 patients per shift max Trauma level facility 4 Pharm - will do educational starts for Chemo Housed under the same roof as radiation oncology Requirements ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Board certified Fellowship preferred Call 1/2 ratio 20 mins response time Avg number of phone consults: 2 Avg number of patients seen: 1 Avg number of admissions: 1 There will be some call during the weekdays/ to be shared by the employed provider(s). Call consists of questions from RN about: patients who call in with questions, patients who are getting Chemo that day, consults from the ED (these are very minimal) Support Staff Medical Assistants (1), several RNs EMR Mosiaq
