This role entails designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex low-level software and firmware focused on hardware security for Windows systems. The engineer will work on encryption/decryption mechanisms, system enhancements, and quality assurance with a strong emphasis on security technologies such as TPM and boot security. Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience with Windows OS internals, firmware development, and cryptography, supported by a relevant bachelor's degree.

- Location Requirement: Hybrid – Building 86, Puget Sound, WA
- Duration: 6 months
- Onsite Requirement: 3–4 days per week onsite
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (No OT)
- Pay Rate Range: $50 to $55
Role Summary
The Software Engineer will design, develop, implement, test, and maintain complex software and firmware components supporting Windows hardware security. This includes working on low-level system software, security processors, encryption/decryption mechanisms, and major enhancements to existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Fine-tune and enhance sophisticated software implementation projects
- Gather and analyze system requirements and document specifications
- Develop software solutions aligned with security and client needs
- Review enhancement requests and technical specifications
- Implement and customize system software
- Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans
- Code new programs and create test data
- Modify existing programs to meet new standards
- Conduct unit testing on new and legacy systems
- Create migration packages for system, user, and implementation testing
- Perform quality assurance reviews
- Execute post-implementation validation and resolve defects

- Direct experience in hardware security
- Strong experience with:
- Windows low-level code
- Firmware development

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- 5–7 years of professional experience
