The Shipping Team Member is responsible for staging and loading processed coils for shipment during the night shift at Charter Manufacturing. This role requires forklift operation, use of scanners, basic math skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Specifics:
Location: Charter Steel – Saukville: 1658 Cold Springs Road, Saukville, WI
Shift: Night Shift on our 5-2-2-5 schedule (5 nights on, 2 nights off, 2 nights on, 5 nights off). Our shift change is at 5 o'clock and we run a 12 hour shift.
What you'll need:
A high school diploma or GED (we can help through the GEDWorks program).
Forklift experience – you know how to handle one safely.
Able to use a scanner for tracking and inventory.
Comfortable with basic math (like counting and simple calculations).
Can communicate clearly with team members.
A team player who works well with others.
Can follow directions and also help guide others when needed.
Good at solving simple problems on the job.
Nice to haves:
Some manufacturing experience – you’ve worked in a factory, warehouse or similar setting before.
Customer Service - you work directly with truck drivers to help load their tucks
Safety training – you know how to stay safe and follow safety rules on the job.
