Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Float for home health with at least 1 year of home care experience and an active Massachusetts PT license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a home health setting serving Chelsea, East Boston, Revere, and Winthrop areas
- Daily work schedule is 08:00-16:30
- Weekend rotations required once every 6 weeks
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric across a variety of diagnoses
- Must be able to travel between patient homes as assigned
- EPIC charting system is utilized
- Responsibilities include providing physical therapy services in patients’ homes for a range of conditions and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Timely and thorough electronic documentation in accordance with agency standards is expected
- RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from central Boston; local pay is reduced
- Scrubs or professional attire may be required according to agency standards
- Parking is not validated at Boston locations and public transit or public parking must be used
- Completion of all onboarding requirements, including references and immunizations, is necessary
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent home care physical therapy experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Proof of MA licensure at time of consideration is mandatory
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are required with no exemptions allowed
- Ability to travel within designated region to patient residences
