Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Level 3 Labor & Delivery unit, requiring an IN or compact license and recent hospital-based L&D experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an 8-bed Level 3 Labor & Delivery unit with 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 ATP rooms
- Unit conducts over 2,000 deliveries per year with both medicated and unmedicated labor support
- Night shift position from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend and holiday rotation
- Active team environment with midwives and OB physicians supporting labor and delivery
- Must be willing to circulate for Cesarean sections
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of midwives and OB physicians to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
- Must be able to provide copies of driver’s license, license verification, and references upon request
- Holiday coverage and every third weekend required
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate due to facility radius rule
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- All clinicians must provide a US Social Security Number and a valid US home address
Requirements
- Active RN license in IN or compact state required
- Minimum 2 years of recent labor & delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA required)
- NRP certification (AHA/AAP) required
- Fetal monitoring certification within the last 2 years (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent) if not covered on competency exam
- Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
