The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee will receive paid hands-on and classroom training to learn auto glass installation, repair, and automotive safety system recalibration. The role requires physical work outdoors with varying weather conditions, operating company vehicles and tools, and providing excellent customer service. Advancement opportunities are available upon successful training completion and performance evaluation.

As a Technician Trainee you will:
• Learn the Safelite way, through paid hands-on and classroom training.
• Install and repair auto glass and recalibrate automotive safety systems.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and company-issued tools utilized throughout the workday.
• Prepare for the next step in your career as a Safelite-certified Technician by testing your knowledge of installations, embracing a positive attitude, and following techniques taught in training.
What you’ll get:
• You’ll be paid weekly with competitive pay starting at $23.50/hour.
• Your pay will increase to $27.75 an hour after successfully completing training and is evaluated annually to ensure you’re rewarded for outstanding performance!
• Potential to be promoted in your first year to Senior Technician or Master Technician. Technician career level advancement dependent on performance metrics demonstrating efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Paid training and all the tools and resources you'll need to be successful.
• A $5 bonus per set of wiper blades when added for customer safety.
• Additional PTO through a program to buy or sell unused time up to 16 hours.

What you’ll need:
• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Comfortable working outside (in a wide variety of weather conditions) on your feet for extended periods.
• Flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customers’ needs while working scheduled days.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma/GED/equivalent preferred; ability to read and write
