Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing
- Provide cleanings for patients under nitrous, oral sedation, or IV sedation
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Assist dentist during exams and procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Manage hygiene supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory standards
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in state of practice
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
