Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and three years of Med-Surg experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital-based 31-bed Med/Surg unit
- Care provided to diverse med/surg patient population
- 12-hour night shifts are required
- Uses Meditech and OBIX for documentation and Pyxis Supply Stations
- No floating to other units or departments
- Three-day Meditech and OBIX training plus unit-specific orientation provided
- Completion of Medication Testing required within first two weeks onsite
- Scrubs are provided
- On-call coverage may be required as needed
Requirements
- Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
- Current BLS and HS AED certifications required
- Minimum of three years Med-Surg nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking skills necessary
