• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Acute Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN Contract

• End Date: April 13, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950–$2090 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NY RN license preferred for New York healthcare jobs)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Ability to serve as charge nurse as needed
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Med/Surg Acute Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Serve as charge nurse when required, offering leadership and support to the nursing staff
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
