Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on 34-bed unit with average daily census of 27
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Floating required within facility
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required based on assignment period (1-2 holidays = work all, 3 holidays = work 2)
• 12 orientation hours provided
• Care for patients with diagnoses including appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, HTN, and hypo/hyperglycemia
• Procedures include prostatectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, ostomy creation/reversal, exploratory laparotomy, and bowel resections
• Equipment experience required: NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references highly preferred
