Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MD or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adolescents (Tanner score >4), adults, and geriatrics
- Unit has 40 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
- Common diagnoses include Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology cases
- Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating required within specialty and lower acuity units as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Responsible for providing nursing care to Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
- Holiday and weekend coverage is a requirement based on schedule
Requirements
- Active MD RN or compact RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Experience with Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology patient populations preferred
