Per diem Pediatric Nephrology physician needed to provide weekend and vacation coverage, with options for remote pager-only call or in-person clinic and inpatient duties. Role includes outpatient dialysis rounding (PD and HD), coverage for PICU and inpatient pediatric units, and support within a growing children's hospital and regional pediatric specialty network. Position is based at St. Luke's University Health Network supporting St. Luke's Children's Hospital and requires collaboration with pediatric specialists and dialysis partner services.

Ability to work fully remote and cover pager call only is available in addition to options for in person coverage including clinic coverage.

Position Requirements:
- The Pediatric Nephrology division is seeking a per diem physician to provide weekend call coverage and vacation coverage for the current team.
- Ability to work fully remote and cover pager call only is available in addition to options for in person coverage including clinic coverage.
Highlights Include:
- St. Lukes Division of Pediatric Nephrology is currently the only pediatric nephrology program in the Lehigh Valley area.
- Through a partnership with DaVita Dialysis, the Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers the only pediatric dialysis (PD and HD) services in the region. Rounding on outpatient dialysis patients is required. These modalities are also available for patients in our PICU and inpatient pediatric unit.
- In 2023, St. Lukes announced the establishment of St. Lukes Childrens Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus and is a proud member of the Childrens Hospital Association, representing decades of growth and investment in pediatrics and the Networks commitment to pediatric services.
- St. Lukes Childrens Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics consists of inpatient, neonatal, emergency medicine, specialty and primary care providers spread across a variety of practice locations. The Network also has a robust base of family practice providers throughout the St. Lukes service area.
- St. Lukes Childrens Hospital is also home to a newly renovated 17 bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit and 8 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- The Pediatric Emergency Department is a 6 bed unit located within St. Lukes Childrens Hospital and will expand to 11 beds at the completion of an ongoing construction project. The Pediatric ER provides care to over 10,000 patients each year at St. Lukes Childrens Hospital.
- The department is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists spanning 40 specialty areas including pediatric surgery, GI, endocrinology, nephrology, developmental pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, anesthesia, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and more! Many are conveniently located at St. Lukes Pediatric Specialty Center, the regions only freestanding building dedicated entirely to pediatric services.
- The pediatric nephrology practice continues to grow as a result of a strong referral network of numerous pediatric primary care practices and family practice offices.
- The most robust and highest volume OB program in the region with a strong maternal and fetal medicine program which delivers nearly 6,000 babies per year.
- Surgical Level III NICU located at St. Lukes Childrens Hospital, Bethlehem Campus, PA, 8 bed Level II NICU at St. Lukes Allentown Campus, 26 bed Level III NICU at St. Lukes Anderson Campus, and a 6 bed Level II NICU at St. Lukes Upper Bucks Campus.
- Robust 16 hospital Network spread over a diverse geographic area providing emergency care for over 320,000 patients annually.
