A well-established OB/GYN management group is seeking a highly motivated, Board Eligible or Board Certified OB/GYN physician for an employed laborist position at a leading maternity hospital in Southern New Jersey. The laborist will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiencies of private practices by allowing office-based physicians to remain with their patients during sessions, even when their patients are admitted to the hospital in active labor. Candidates should be comfortable providing obstetrical services in a dynamic, high-paced labor and delivery unit. Responsibilities include monitoring labor progression, managing anesthesia, and applying labor-inducing agents as requested by private practitioners. The role also involves providing emergency services on the labor and delivery floor, including performing STAT sections when necessary. Strong communication skills are essential, as the physician will maintain open and informative communications with private attending physicians.
