The Automotive Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving automotive systems and components while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance. This role supports vehicle or component development from concept through production, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to industry standards. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree, experience in automotive manufacturing, and proficiency with CAD tools and automotive quality standards.

The Automotive Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of automotive systems and components. This role collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle solutions that meet performance, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate automotive systems, components, or subsystems
- Support vehicle or component development from concept through production launch
- Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Conduct analysis, simulation, testing, and validation activities to ensure performance and compliance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable
- Work with suppliers on component development, sourcing, and technical issue resolution
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, warranty, or field issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable automotive standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of engineering experience in an automotive or related manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and development processes
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and engineering documentation
- Familiarity with automotive quality systems and standards (IATF 16949, ISO, APQP)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
