Job Details:

• Work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Experience floating to PCU, Med Surg, and Tele required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to ICU specialty required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Deliver patient care through nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Complete written patient assessments within designated time frames
• Formulate and implement written care plans within 24 hours of admission
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Promote patient independence through education and goal setting
• Adhere to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and safety protocols
• Document patient care and communicate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Recognize changes in patient status and provide appropriate interventions
• Participate in continuing education and attend minimum eight monthly staff meetings annually
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate care across the lifespan
