Job Description
American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with acute care experience in a level one trauma center for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an acute care setting at a level one trauma center
- Primary caseload includes medical/surgical and orthopedic patients
- Shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with possible weekend coverage
- If scheduled on a weekend, a relief day will be provided during the week
- No holiday or on-call requirements
- Uses EpicCARE IP Therapist PT/OT/ST Online for charting
- Duties include evaluating and treating medical/surgical and orthopedic patients in an acute care environment
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with hospital staff for patient care planning
- Some weekend work may be required, with a weekday relief day provided
- No major or minor holiday shifts required
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- Previous acute care experience in a level one trauma center required
- Experience with medical/surgical and orthopedic patient populations required
- Familiarity with EpicCARE or similar EMR systems preferred
