Location: Kerrville, TX
Job Overview:
Join our team as a Behavioral Health RN in a supportive environment, providing care in a maximum-security inpatient psychiatric hospital. This role requires a compassionate professional to assess and treat court-committed patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in a maximum-security unit.
• Collaborate on individualized care plans.
• Communicate with team and stakeholders.
• Supervise LVNs per Nurse Practice Act.
• Maintain documentation and reports.
• Treat employees injured at work.
Schedule:
• 40 hours/week, 11 PM - 7 AM shifts.
• Every other weekend, with two consecutive days off.
• Orientation: Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM for four weeks.
Requirements:
• 2+ years RN experience, psychiatric and maximum-security preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Valid RN license in Texas or compact state.
• Complete immunizations and CPR certification.
• Negative PPD, COVID•19 compliance, drug screen, and background checks.
Additional Information:
• Work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• PPE and parking provided.
