A client of TGC is searching for a Senior-level Trust & Estates Attorney
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising individuals and families on comprehensive estate plans (wills, revocable/irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives)
- Structure and draft sophisticated planning vehicles
- Oversee estate and trust administration, including probate filings, asset marshaling, fiduciary accountings, and related court submissions
- Prepare or coordinate transfer-tax filings
- Handle elder law matters as applicable
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of associates and paralegals; contribute to training and knowledge-sharing
- Drive business development initiatives; originate new matters and expand on existing client relationships
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in trust & estates planning and administration
- Demonstrated expertise in estate, gift, and tax planning
- Exceptional drafting, research, and client communication skills with a high level of discretion
- Admitted to the New York Bar
- Portable book of business of approximately $200-300K+ and a track record of attracting/developing new clients
