The Remote Revenue Cycle Manager oversees a team specializing in third-party accounts receivable remediation for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and delivering high-quality client outcomes. They manage daily operations, monitor performance metrics, and provide coaching to maintain an engaged and effective staff. The role requires extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, billing systems, and HIPAA regulations to support optimal account resolution and customer service.
- Provides daily management and support to their team to ensure they are working effectively and completing assigned tasks
- Assures that staff are following procedures as outlined in the respective client's procedural documents to maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulatory guidelines
- Monitors and manages client engagements from initiation through delivery, interfacing with the customer on all matters
- Monitors client performance reporting metrics and associated deliverables to drive value for the client
- Provides timely and consistent feedback to employees under their span of control relating to job performance
- Demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service in responding to the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Maintains knowledge of insurance company policies and governmental regulations affecting billing practices to ensure organizational compliance
- Actively develops direct reports through coaching, feedback, and projects to ensure their success and to create a highly engaged, productive team while meeting all performance objectives
- Extensive knowledge of hospital/physician revenue cycle with specialization in billing, follow-up, third party AR account resolution and call center activities
- Possess a thorough understanding of the risks and rules associated with handling Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensures the team meets all HIPAA requirements
- Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Functional hands-on knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven track record and experience with managing and directing people to achieve common goals
- Minimum of 5 years Healthcare Revenue Cycle management experience, specialization in 3rd party AR management
- Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Hands-on experience using Epic, Cerner, Invision, Soarian, McKesson, Allscripts, and other industry recognized Revenue Cycle Management Systems preferred
