The Hospice/Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides compassionate end-of-life care, working autonomously while collaborating with a medical team to manage patient symptoms and improve quality of life. Responsibilities include patient assessment, prescribing medications, ordering necessary tests and treatments, and coordinating with the Palliative Medical Director. This role requires at least two years of NP experience, relevant certifications, and offers a structured schedule with benefits and malpractice coverage.

- Setting: Provide Hospice/Palliative Care for Patients
- Work autonomously in an APP role
- Work collaboratively with the Palliative Care Medical Team to deliver appropriate care from initial assessment through discharge
- Assessments include: disease-specific changes, decline or change in function, nutrition and/or cognition, inadequately-controlled pain or other distressing symptoms, falls, infections, impact of disease burden on patient, caregiver, and/or family's quality of life

- Prescribe medications, order/interpret labs, order treatments or medical equipment
- Have meetings with Palliative Medical Director as needed, but no less than biweekly
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- 4x10s - no weekend schedule
- Minimum of 2 years of NP experience required
- ACHPN certification preferred
- Active BLS and DEA required
- Receive a paycheck every Friday
