This facility features a comprehensive cancer treatment center with the radiation oncology clinic conveniently attached to the hospital. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator to deliver advanced radiation therapy services to patients.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Radiation Oncology
Job Details:
• Provide radiation oncology services for approximately 10-15 patient encounters per shift • Join a collaborative team including 1 radiation oncologist, 2 RNs, 2 nurse navigators, 2 dosimetrists, 1 physicist, 5 therapists, and 2 clerical staff • Initial schedule includes orientation (2/11, 8a-4p) followed by regular shifts (2/12-2/13, 7a-4p) • Extended coverage needed 2/16-2/21 with regular shifts 7a-4p and call coverage 4p-7a (ending 7a 2/22) • Utilize advanced radiation therapy techniques including Linear Accelerator, Rapid Arc/VMAT, and Electron therapy • Perform Conventional/Conformal Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS treatments • Conduct comprehensive treatment planning including conventional planning, beam shaping, 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, and Electronic Portal Imaging • Must be board certified in Radiation Oncology • ACLS certification required • Must hold an active Michigan medical license • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days • Accommodations available at Best Western Plus near facility • Convenient access to Sawyer Regional Airport
