Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of PCU experience and an active OH or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00–19:30)
- Expected patient ratio is 1:3
- Must work weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays
- Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Uses EPIC EMR system; experience with EPIC required
- Responsible for providing specialized care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months
- Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at the facility
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- No RTO is permitted from 2/15/26 through 2/28/26 and time-off requests must be included at contract submission
- Urgent fingerprinting process in Ohio must be completed upon contract signing
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU experience required
- Proficient in IV start and telemetry skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC EMR system required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, one must be from a manager, director, or supervisor
