IMCS GROUP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Kansas.

- Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions on med-surg and telemetry units.
- Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and escalate abnormalities per protocol.
- Assess patients, record vital signs, and evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
- Administer medications (oral, IV, IV push), IV therapies, and blood products safely and precisely.
- Manage wound care, drains, dressings, and other routine clinical procedures.
- Perform and interpret bedside diagnostics (pulse ox, ABG collection when authorized, glucose checks) and assist with PFTs or EKGs as needed.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, PT/OT, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
- Respond to rapid responses and emergencies (code team support, airway assistance, ACLS support) as required.
- Provide patient/family education on disease process, meds, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and unit-specific policies to ensure high quality care.
Must have KS or Compact State RN license Must have BLS, ACLS - AHA Must have 2+ years of experience in MS/Tele
