Physician (MD) - Urology
Job Details:
• Must be comfortable taking urology emergency room on-call in a Level 1 trauma center environment• Valid California medical license required• Preference for candidates with clean medical malpractice history• Ability to cover stretches of 7 days or more preferred• Proficiency in managing various procedural needs in a fast-paced environment• Robotic surgery training considered a plus• Typically handling 2-3 patient encounters per shift• Board certification required• PALS certification required• 60-day estimated credentialing timeframe• Preferred skills include general urology (adult, pediatric, neonate)• Advanced endoscopic techniques preferred• Laparoscopic surgeries preferred• Experience with various procedures preferred: percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, radical cystectomy, radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy• Experience with pelvic node dissection preferred• Robotic surgery skills preferred, including partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound• Additional preferred skills: adrenalectomy, renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies• Experience with fertility work-up, incontinence procedures, and penile prosthesis preferred• ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) experience preferred• Renal transplant surgery and advanced pediatric surgery experience a plus
Compensation:
