Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a valid OH or compact RN license, tele monitoring skills, and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Requires floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Telemetry monitoring of patients is required
- Epic EMR system experience is required
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
- Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of application and built into the contract
- Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must possess a V Cert
- Ability to start IVs, administer medications, monitor labs, and provide patient education
- Must be able to pass a telemetry test
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
- Experience in monitoring telemetry patients is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
