TRC Talent Solutions is Hiring an Injection Molding Tool Maker for our client in Austell, GASummary: The Injection Molding Tool Maker is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and fabrication work on injection molds and related tooling. This role requires expertise in toolroom machining processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in partnership with production to support continuous manufacturing operations.
JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, rebuild, and perform preventive maintenance on injection molds
- Troubleshoot tooling issues at the press and support production in real time
- Perform manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders, toolroom equipment)
- Split molds, identify failure modes, and correct tooling issues
- Maintain mold records, storage, and documentation
- Work with hot runner systems (valve gates, hot drops, wiring)
- Support continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Journeyman Toolmaker preferred or 10+ years of hands-on injection mold experience
- Strong manual machining and mold repair experience
- Ability to read blueprints and understand mold designs
- Knowledge of tool steels, metallurgy, and coatings
- Injection molding manufacturing experience required
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, and work hands-on in a toolroom environment
