Locum Tenens: Psychiatrist Needed (Near Hadley, NY) (Start Date: September - Ongoing)

Are you a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a supportive environment near Hadley, NY? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our growing team and provide comprehensive inpatient care for adults (Job ID: j-229649).

Make a Positive Impact on Adult Inpatient Care:

• Contribute to a collaborative inpatient team by providing short-term (locum tenens) and potentially long-term (perm) care for adults on our 30-bed general adult behavioral health unit.
• You'll work alongside another psychiatrist, managing an average of 15 patients per day.

Structured Schedule with On-Call:

• Maintain a consistent work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Participate in a 1:4 weekend call and on-call rotation, with comprehensive support measures in place (24/7 security and staff response for codes).
• We offer a streamlined credentialing process, getting you started within 4 weeks, and will reimburse travel expenses.

• Benefit from a well-staffed inpatient team, including 4 psychiatrists upon your arrival.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for seamless documentation.
• Feel confident knowing the facility prioritizes patient and staff safety with 24/7 security guards.
• While child psychiatry opportunities are limited to weekend call crisis unit evaluations with transfer to adolescent facilities, the focus of this role is adult inpatient care.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified in Psychiatry is mandatory.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• An active New York state medical license at the time of application is necessary.
