Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Primary Care Clinic – Ithaca Mall Family Medicine
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8 hours (typically 7:30 am – 5:30 pm; some rotation based on staffing needs)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: June 9, 2025
• End Date: September 8, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2210 - $2370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse – New York)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide nurse triage calls and comprehensive patient assessments
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits in a primary care environment
• Administer injections and support nurse visits, including blood pressure checks
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Deliver compassionate support and patient education to individuals and families
