Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) with pediatric experience to join a fast-paced acute care environment. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services across pediatric patient populations while collaborating closely with the medical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately in the EMR
- Provide age-appropriate respiratory care, including pediatric patients
- Respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies as part of the rapid response team
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment
- Serve as a clinical resource to physicians and healthcare staff
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (OK or eligible)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS required within 3 months of start
- Pediatric or critical care experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity settings
