JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Hematology/Oncology Job Type: Permanent Location: Dothan, AL Service Setting: Outpatient & Inpatient Cancer Center Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri (Hours TBD) On-Call Shift Schedule: Shared Call Call Type: Rotational Call Ratio: 1:4 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults (general hematology/oncology) Patient Volume/Census: TBD Admissions: Yes Rounding: Yes (inpatient cancer floor) Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Hematology and oncology patients across full spectrum FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 420-bed hospital; 21 infusion rooms; dedicated inpatient oncology floors Trauma Level: Level 2 Office Equipment Available: Radiation therapy and infusion center onsite; certified oncology nurses; onsite fitness facility Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology, hospitalist support, radiology, pain management, neurosurgery Support Staff Available: 3 board-certified Hem/Onc physicians, certified oncology nurses, multidisciplinary cancer team Reason for Coverage: Practice expansion PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: Highly competitive compensation package with productivity bonus Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Paid malpractice with tail; paid interview expenses Additional Benefits: $100k signing bonus, health/dental/disability/life insurance, CME/licensure allowance, student loan repayment REQUIRED PROCEDURES Outpatient chemotherapy management Inpatient consults and co-management Hematologic evaluations and treatments JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology Experience: Fellowship trained in Hem/Onc Other Qualifications: Team-oriented, able to work in collaborative environment; PSLF eligible DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
