Exciting Opportunity in Salisbury, NC: Join Our Team as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist!

The Salisbury VA Medical Center is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our team! Work Schedule:
8:00 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m.

Call Coverage:
Per rotation, 1 week every 5 weeks

Academic Affiliation:
Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

Position Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA policy.
  • Education: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
  • Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
  • Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Experience: Preferred experience in treating medical retina conditions with anti-VEGF therapies, basic glaucoma, and cataracts.

  • Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, and regular salary increases.
  • Paid Time Off: 50?55 days per year (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a possible five-day paid absence for CME).
