This role is for an Inpatient Only Gastroenterologist to provide advanced gastrointestinal care at two community hospitals in the St. Louis suburb area. The position involves managing inpatient cases, performing urgent procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, with ample support staff and a competitive benefits package. BJC Medical Group is seeking an Inpatient Only GI to join our established team of gastroenterologists at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West Hospital in St. Charles County, Missouri.

Position Highlights:
- Monday through Friday inpatient only; 1:4 weekend call
- Advanced procedures preferred including ERCP
- Smaller community hospitals just minutes apart
- Mentorship and support of established gastroenterology teams

- Round on patients, urgent procedures done on weekends
- APP support available for rounding

Hospital Affiliations:
Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is a 101-bed community hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Breast Health and Women’s Center, Cardiology Center, a nationally accredited Sleep and Breathing Lab, and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. The hospital also has a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, operated by The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, a joint partnership between BJC HealthCare and HealthSouth Corporation.
Progress West Hospital has the latest in facility design, technology and patient-centered care, including 44 private beds, 24-hour adult and pediatric emergency services, surgical services, cardiac cath lab, inpatient services, obstetrical services and diagnostic imaging. Progress West Hospital is a certified Level II Stroke Center and a highly regarded community hospital in the region.
