Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician Assistant specializing in Pediatric Cardiology for a locum tenens role in Dallas, Texas. The PA will provide care in cardiac intensive and intermediate care units, managing complex pediatric cardiac conditions and performing bedside procedures. This full-time, 3-month night shift position includes no call responsibilities and covers travel and lodging expenses.
To start ASAP ongoing Full-time, will consider 2 weeks per month UPDATE 06.13.25 Locum Tenens Physician Assistant Pediatric Cardiologynear Dallas area, TexasStart Date: July 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)Night Shifts No Call Responsibilities Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus in Pediatric Cardiology to join our expert care team on a locum tenens basis in Dallas, Texas. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to a high-performing cardiac program, delivering compassionate and critical care to children with complex cardiac conditions. Position Details: Start Date: July Contract Length: 3 months, with potential for continued engagement Schedule: 5x8-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM No call responsibilities Includes scheduled coverage during observed holidays Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive care in: 20-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) Collaborate with Critical Care/Cardiology Fellows and a robust team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Manage patients with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, including: Pre- and post-operative care Pediatric heart failure management Heart transplant care Perform bedside procedures such as: Chest tube and cardiac line removals Document patient care activities, including admissions, discharges, and procedural notes Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible PA with Acute Care certification Active Texas state license required Experience with ECMO and advanced mechanical circulatory support is highly preferred Strong procedural skills in pediatric cardiac settings Compensation & Benefits: Travel and lodging expenses fully covered Work in a nationally recognized pediatric care environment with a supportive, collaborative team Join Us.
