Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby unit is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs and advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
Responsibilities- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients based on ongoing assessments.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients effectively.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
This position is for 36 hours per week, working a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every third weekend requirement.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related specialty.
- Registered Nurse with a valid NJ State Professional License or multi-state compact license.
- Certifications: BLS-AHA, NRP required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
- Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
