Our job summary

The Production Associate works in a cheese manufacturing facility, operating and monitoring production machinery and ensuring product quality and safety according to HACCP guidelines. Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, handling cheese curds, taking product samples, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The role requires standing long shifts, occasional heavy lifting, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a warm factory setting.

Position Title: Production Associate - Start-Up Shift

Wage: $20.50/hour

Shift: Start-Up

Hours: 2:00am - 9:00am

Production Associate Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control production machinery
- Monitor and use "Clean in Place" procedures on product machinery and tools
- Scoop and shovel cheese curds in large bins
- Take samples of product for lab testing
- Maintain appropriate production records
- Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specification and government agencies
- Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product
- Follow safety procedures
- Maintain clean work environment
- Operate within HACCP guidelines to ensure safe, quality product
- Operate and set up bagging machine to bag and seal blocks of cheese

Requirements for Production Associate:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience of 1-2 years in a manufacturing position
- Ability to stand the entire shift 8-10 hours a day
- Exposure to toxic, caustic chemicals (anhydrous ammonia), acid wash
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs rarely from the ground and 20lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in warm/hot environment
- Excellent attendance record and team focus
- Quality focused
- Ability to work overtime as needed on Saturdays
