Job Summary:
-Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
-Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
-Provides patient care under the supervision of the RN.
-Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures.
-Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.
-Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure.
-Teaches patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions.
-Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures
. -Completes daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately documents productivity information.
-Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identifies potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and takes appropriate actions.
-Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab is preferred.Required Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Education:
-Associate’s degree preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Registered ARRT is required or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS is required within 18 months of hire or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCES required.
-BLS - American Heart Association.
-Current ACLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
-Fluoroscopy Certification.
-Radiation badges need to be supplied by the vendor.

This is the pay range that RightSourcing (a part of Magnit) reasonably expects to pay someone for this position, however, as a supplier your expected pay range may vary and/or include certain benefits like: Stipends (for clinical traveler workers only), Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K. Pay range $61 hrly - $82 hrly.
