The Urgent Care Physician role involves providing medical care in a walk-in clinic within an Emergency Department setting at a Critical Access Hospital near Grand Canyon National Park. The position requires active state medical licensure, FM board certification, and a security clearance, with shifts of 10-12 hours from Monday to Friday on a rotating schedule. Compensation includes $140/hour plus travel, housing, and malpractice insurance, with a minimum 3-6 month commitment.
Location: First Mesa, AZ; Within 125 miles of Grand Canyon National Park; hot summers/cold winters, lows in winter 21-38 degrees, summer highs are 85-96 degrees; the air is clean, the water is clear, and the sky is blue Setting: Walk-in Clinic within the ED; Critical Access Hospital and Family Practice on site Shifts/Duration: 10-12 hour days, Monday-Friday, 4 wks on / 4 wks off, Ongoing through 2023; Volume: 3 patients per hour Requirements:
- Any active, unrestricted State License
- Clean DEA
- Clean Malpractice/NPDB (no current suits or unresolved cases)
- FM Board Certification, with Recent outpatient experience preferred
- No lapse in practice greater than 6 months leading up to assignment
- Security clearance screening through Inspector General
- The clearance/credentialing process is generally about 3 months because of the Security Clearance
- 3-6 Month Minimum Commitment
