Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 7, 2025
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Unit: Resource Pool
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,630 - $1,750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) setting
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screen, health screenings, competency testing, and required documentation

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate telemetry equipment as required
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies
