Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Observation Unit position requiring an active AR or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Observation Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week travel assignment
- Patient populations typically consist of those under observation status
- Blocked scheduling may be allowed based on facility needs
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates within 50 miles may have limitations on billing rate and contract renewals
- Subcontractor staff with a home address within 50 miles may only complete three consecutive 13-week contracts before a required break or transfer
- Full employment documentation must be provided two weeks prior to start date
- First time travelers will be considered for this assignment
Requirements
- Active AR or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- No expiring certifications within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is scheduled and documented
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the relevant specialty
- At least 2 years of overall nursing experience preferred
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
