Job Opportunity: Physician - Hematology/Oncology in Clinton, IA
Join a well-established practice at a state-of-the-art facility located in Clinton, Iowa! We are seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist. This role offers a supportive environment with a professional team, providing patient care to an adult and geriatric population.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care primarily at MercyOne in Clinton, IA, with potential rotations in Davenport, IA.
- Balance time spent between Hematology (30%) and Medical Oncology (70%).
- Manage after-hour calls by phone, which are infrequent and minimal.
- See an average of 30 patients per day with adequate time allocation for new and follow-up visits.
- Work with a dedicated team including four RNs, a MA, a CNA, and a receptionist.
- Utilize hospitalist coverage for infusion management when needed.
- Access to onsite Radiation Oncology as an outreach of the University of Iowa.
- Engage with a strong primary care network to facilitate internal referrals.
- Contribute to efforts towards the COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology.
- IA medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean malpractice record is preferred.
- Must not require visa support (J1/H1B).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Hematology - REQUIRED
- Iowa medical license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice - PREFERRED
