Our job summary

A Neonatology Physician provides specialized medical care for newborn infants, particularly those who are critically ill or premature, in a pediatric hospital setting. This role involves managing complex neonatal intensive care services including ECMO, high frequency ventilation, and total body cooling, alongside a multidisciplinary team. The physician participates in resident teaching, supports family-centered care, and contributes to clinical practice guidelines to ensure continuity and quality of neonatal care.

Facility: Hospital focusing exclusively on pediatric care, providing a wide range of services tailored to the unique healthcare needs of children and adolescents. This hospital offers a comprehensive array of pediatric services, including pediatric emergency care, neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, pediatric surgery, pediatric cardiology, pediatric oncology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric rehabilitation services. These services cover a broad spectrum of medical needs, from routine check-ups to complex medical conditions and emergencies.

Opportunity:

12-hour in-house shifts. 15 per month for full-time status.
The hospital has a 72-bed, Level-IV NICU with an ADC of 60
Services include neonatal ECMO, iNO, high frequency ventilation, (jet and oscillators) and total body cooling
There is an active transport program, a dedicated resuscitation team and full pediatric subspecialty and surgical support
The affiliated pediatric intensivists cover the PICU/CVICU, our hospitalists cover the pediatric floor and our pediatric ER physicians cover the pediatric ER
The practice has a busy cardiovascular surgery program, as well as general surgery and high volume ELBWs
Resident teaching opportunities are available
The group values team-work and holds high expectations for shared clinical practice guidelines to provide continuity to the infants and their families
