About the FacilityA busy level 1 trauma center is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility LocationBronx, New York is the birthplace of hip-hop culture. Its also home to some major attractions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts, the oldest public golf course in the country (Van Cortlandt), Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, Americas first zoo and NYCs sprawling botanical gardens.
About the Clinician's WorkdayCases include General, B&B, trauma at a Level 1 center, OB, and occasional cranis, with no open heart and no major pediatrics. The schedule is Monday-Friday with 5x8s, and in-house call is required on both weekdays and weekends. Flexibility is important, as they prefer one full-time provider who can cover weekday in-house call from 3p-7a and weekend call from 7a-7a (or in 12-hour blocks). The staffing model is an MD doing their own cases.
